Doggie-BagsŪ History
    We first saw similar doggie stations in Europe about 15 years ago. We thought what a great idea for the United States. The doggie stations have gained favor in places where people consider dog droppings an affront to civility. There were, at the time, 30,000 units in Switzerland. The beauty of the system is that dog owners do not have to remember to bring along anything for picking up after their pets. The terrific part is they dog owners do not have to search for a trash bin, once the deed is done. Fast, simple and easy.

• Biodegradable plastic is made by blending an additive that can trigger and accelerate the degradation process (pro-degradent) into the plastic during the extrusion process. The additive causes the molecular structure of plastic to break down when exposed to heat, sunlight or mechanical stress. The plastic will eventually be in a state where it can be digested by microorganisms. At this point, the plastic will degrade at a faster rate until it has fully degraded into carbon dioxide, water, and biomass.
